Ppl who deal with coding can do special stuff to circumvent this problem. However, the fact that you had infinite LP at 99999 probably meant that the ppl who created this game didn't bother since nobody expects you to reach those insane numbers. <span style="background-color:LightCyan; border:4px ridge blue; -moz-border-radius:1em;">&nbsp;<span style="color:black;">HHTurtle</span> Talk &nbsp;</span> 07:09, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

You could talk more about it in this page. --Missign0 (talk • contribs) 11:53, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

The same exact think happen in super mario sunshine for game cube, I reach 999 coins, the game give one 1-up for every 50 coins you reach, I collected 1 coins got a 1-up for reaching 1000 coins but it showed 999 coins, I payed 1 coin for the guy to swing me to the shine sprite it showed 999 coins, I repeated the pay 1 coins for the guy to swing me to shine sprite it showed 998 coins, this only works in this game if you beat final bowser once, and go to the air strip for the second shine, when you take the second shine in the air strip you will be sent back to delfino plaza however the coins you collected did not reset so when you return to the air strip the coins you have already taken are back,

So probebly if I would have only got 1000 life points over the 99999 in this yugioh video game when I payed 500 life points for ultimate offering, and 1000 life points for chaos my life points would have probebly showed 99499. So what do you think?96.44.92.186 (talk) 15:34, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

You're just thinking too hard. The game is programmed to count way beyond its maximum display, so your LP display won't dip below 99 999 as long as your actual LP value is still over 100 000. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 07:47, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

I use a control loop to gain infinit life point to found out what is the maximum life points in this game, and some think realy weird happen, after repeating the loop several times I got up to 80000 life points and the dark red enchanter had arrown 40000 atk points I activated mystick wok from my hand and tribute and select atk point for dark red enchanter, my life point go up by the current atk of dark red enchanter, my life point stop at "99999" and then I pay the cost to activated a face-up ultimated offering it showed 99999 -500= 99999 my life points stayed the same I special summoned chaos emperor dragon-envoy of the end I activated it's effect and payed 1000 life point, it showed this again 99999 -1000= 99999.

I relize that the game still keeps on counting over this amount, but it doesn't show it, do you have an idea why this game do this?96.44.92.186 (talk) 19:20, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

 • Please post all threads in the appropriate Forum categories.

Your question has nothing to do with Rulings. I'm moving this thread to an appropriate category.

The game registers numbers in now way different to what a calculator does. Using binary numbers with bits used to represent them. What most probably happened is that the calculator can only represent that maximum value, adding to that number produced an overflow error and it caused a glitch.  HHTurtle Talk   20:01, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry! I did not know which categories it goes to, however now I know. If I would of continued testing it and continued to paid cost until it when to below the over flow do you think it would start to show the correct amount?96.44.92.186 (talk) 21:33, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

It's ok. I just needed to moved this thread.

It's hard to say what would happen. Overflow error happens because a computer doesn't have an infinite number of bits. It's like telling you that you can only write numbers using only 1 digit. Let's say you start at 8, then add 1 and it becomes 9, then add 1 and it becomes 10 but you can't write "1" and "0" for ten because you can only write one digit. That's how the computer glitched itself.

Ppl who deal with coding can do special stuff to circumvent this problem. However, the fact that you had infinite LP at 99999 probably meant that the ppl who created this game didn't bother since nobody expects you to reach those insane numbers.  HHTurtle Talk   07:09, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
