This card's summoning animation is quite unique among the Xyz monsters seen thus far.

* i.e Whenever this card would be Xyz summoned in the field, instead of rising from the ground, it would instead come out from the back.

  • This is the first "Odd-Eyes" Xyz Monster.
    • Ironically, this is the first Extra Deck Monster to use "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" to summon it that is not "Pendulum Dragon", but is the first actual Pendulum monster of them.
  • This monster resembles both "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" and "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon", the cards Yuya used to Summon this monster for the first time.
    • This card's Pendulum Effect allows the player to search a Pendulum Monster from their Deck, similar to the Pendulum Effect of "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon". Additionally, it is the first card that can place a Pendulum Monster from the Deck directly in the Pendulum Zone.
  • This is the second Xyz Monster to have an effect that requires detaching an Xyz Material as cost in the anime, but doesn't have the cost requirement when printed in real life, the first being "Number 8: Heraldic King Genom-Heritage". All the other Xyz monsters either keep their cost, or have their cost increased.
    • Interestingly, "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon", which is one of this card's Material in the anime, has an effect that only requires detaching 1 Xyz Material as cost in the anime, while in real life it becomes 2 Xyz Materials; meanwhile, "Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon" has an effect that requires detaching 1 Xyz Material in the anime, but in real life its effect does not require detaching at all (0 material required).

This card's effect in the anime is somewhat a combined effect of "Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" and "Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon," and all monsters are related to "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon."

  • Both "Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon" and "Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" can attack multiple times depending on a monster's level ("Rune-Eyes" depends on it's Fusion Material's level, while "Rebellion Dragon" depends on the Level 7 or below monsters destroyed by it's own effect).
  • "Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" and "Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon" can inflict damage depending on a monster's ATK ("Beast-Eyes" inflicts damage equal to it's Fusion Material's ATK, while "Rebellion Dragon" inflicts damage equal to the total ATK of all the monster destroyed by it's own effect).
