Biography
Yuya is a student learning to become an "entertainment Duelist", a type of professional Duelist.[1] Yuya attends Yushu Juku in Maiami City with his friend Yuzu Higari. One day, he gets himself involved in a Duel with the current Pro Duelist champion.[3]A 2nd Year Middle School Student who loves to entertain people. Even though he is kind of on the short side, he has a tough body with which to hone his skills in Action Duels with. His dream is to become an “Entertainment Duelist” and give people smiles from his Duels.
He uses the Pendulum Summon mechanic to Summon high-Level monsters during Action Duels.[1][4]
Etymology
Like the protagonists of the other series, Yugi Muto, Jaden Yuki, Yusei Fudo and Yuma Tsukumo, his name contains the syllable "Yu".
