- "Dark Blade" is featured in the artwork of the following cards:
- "Dark Blade" is wearing "Metalsilver Armor", though he does not appear to have gained its effects.
- It is possible that "Dark Blade" was originally "Warrior Dai Grepher", as both are warriors are able to "manipulate dragons". If this is true, however, it is unknown what happened to "Kiryu" after it merged with "Dark Blade".
- This is one of only two monsters that has two different Union Monsters designed for its use - the other is "X-Head Cannon", which has identical stats.
- The two monsters that are designed to be equipped to this monster are "Pitch-Dark Dragon" and "Kiryu".
- Outside of the VWXYZ monsters, this is the only monster who fuses with one of its Union monsters ("Pitch-Dark Dragon").
- The Supreme King's armor is similar to that of this monster, which through some odd coincidence, can be found in Starter Deck: Jaden Yuki.
