TCG Rulings
- Removing from play 1 Reptile-Type monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon this card is a cost.[1]
- This card’s effect to place 1 Hyper-Venom Counter on itself starts a chain when it inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent.[1]
- When 3 Hyper-Venom Counters are placed on this card, its controller wins the Duel as part of the resolution of the effect.[1]
- This card is not affected by the effects of any other Monsters, Spells or Traps, even effects that do not target.[1]
- If "Skill Drain" is already active on the field when Vennominaga is Special Summoned, the effect of Vennominaga is negated.[1]
- This card can be Tributed normally for a Tribute Summon, or for the cost of another card. It cannot be Tributed as part of the resolution of a card's effect, like "Ectoplasmer".[1]
- You can Tribute your opponent's Vennominaga to Summon "Lava Golem".[1]
- If this card is destroyed by battle with "Dark Ruler Ha Des", "Dark Ruler Ha Des'" effect negates this card's effect in the Graveyard, and it cannot be Special Summoned.[1]
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Cloudian - Poison Cloud: “Cloudian - Poison Cloud's” effect will only inflict 800 damage if its effect successfully destroys the monster that destroyed it in battle. For example, “Vennominaga, the Deity of Poisonous Snakes” [sic] is unaffected by other Monster Effects and thus could not be destroyed, so “Cloudian - Poison Cloud” would not inflict damage in this case.
- Revived King Ha Des: If "Revived King Ha Des" or another Zombie-Type monster you control destroys... "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" by battle, when their effects are activated they will be negated.
- Rise of the Snake Deity: You cannot activate this card if you do not have "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" in your hand or Deck.
- Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare: When "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" battles with a monster that cannot be destroyed by its effect, like "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare's" effect still inflicts damage but will not destroy the monster.
Judge List Rulings
- "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes'" Self-Special Summoning effect activates when it is in the Graveyard, because it has been destroyed in battle and sent to the Graveyard, so its Hyper-Venom Counters it previously had on the field are lost.[2]
