- Seto Kaiba used this card several times against Ishizu Ishtar, Yugi Mutou, and others. Soul Exchange could Tribute all of the opponent's monsters and did not require the player who activated it to skip his/her Battle Phase. In addition, summoning a monster with this card was counted as a Special Summon.
- In the original anime, this card was called "Cross Sacrifice" instead of "Cross Soul".
- Houten and Ida use this in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator.
