- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Last Will", "Witch of the Black Forest", "Giant Rat", Dread Dragon and "Masked Dragon".
- "Exploder Dragon" can be used to safely attack your opponent's face-down cards without the risk of taking any battle damage.
- Equip "Ribbon of Rebirth" to this card, attack the monster on the field that gives you the most trouble, and it will come back at the end of the turn.
- Because of its effect, "Exploder Dragon" can be used to destroy normally hard-to-remove monsters such as "Five-Headed Dragon" and "Blackwing Armor Master".
- This card can be equipped to "Cyberdarks" through their effect.
- Use "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", so that you can repeatedly revive this card and dispose of 1 attack position monster per turn.
- Or, you can also use this tactic against Gravekeeper's deck while attempting to destroy your opponent's "Gravekeeper's Visionary" to force your opponent to discard troublesome monsters like "Gravekeeper's Spy" or "Gravekeeper's Descendant"(Keep in mind that they can still remedy this problem using "Gravekeeper's Recruiter" or "Gravekeeper's Stele", and this won't work if "Necrovalley" is face-up on the field). Be careful though, as "Gravekeeper's Visionary"'s ATK power will increase even further and it can put you into severe disadvantage if you can't destroy it quickly.
- One key difference between this card's effect and that of "Exiled Force" is that this effect is available during the Battle Phase. You can capitalize on this by using "Giant Rat", "Masked Dragon", "Call of the Haunted" or "Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane" to summon this card on the fly for extra destruction.
- You can combine this card with "Sea Dragon Lord Gishilnodon" to destroy your opponent's monster and then attack directly for 3,000 damage.
- This card is perfect to avoid the activation of effects like "Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow" and "Honest", when you are attacking.
