- With Backs to the Wall, you can use Last Turn much earlier. Simply dump one Samurai, Summon Jowgen the Spiritualist, activate Backs to the Wall, then [Last Turn]]. (Note that this only works only in Traditional Format.)
- When you have 4 or more Samurai, including The Six Samurai - Nisashi, in your graveyard, and your opponent still has a lot of Life Points and strong defenses, activate this card and summon Shien's Footsoldier. Then activate Shien's Spy and give Shien's Footsoldier to your opponent. Activate Breakthrough! and attack Shien's Footsoldier with Nisashi so you can still inflict direct damge with Nisashi. Now, you will have the max attacks with the Samurai as you will be able to Special Summon one of the Level 3 Samurai from your Deck, you should win after all Five Samurai attack directly.
- Combine this card with Reversal Quiz (and cards that support it) and your opponent will be left with 100 Life Points. Even better, if you have Sangan on the field when you activate Reversal Quiz, you can use it to add a Solar Flare Dragon to your hand and summon it to finish off your opponent.
- By combining this card with Self-Destruct Button, you can get a quick draw.
