The jump novel lottery prize card was a telephone card, printed as if it were an Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game card. It was awarded to winners of a Fine Music Gear Present (ファインミュージックギアプレゼント Fain Myūjikku Gia Purezento) lottery held in commencement of the release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! novel. The competition was advertised in jump novel vol.16, which had a cover date of September 25, 1999.
Seven different prizes were available in the lottery: first prize was a stereo, second prize was a speaker system, third prize was a Sony MD Walkman, fourth prize was a CD player, fifth prize was a Sony Beans Walkman, sixth prize was a set of headphones, and seventh prize was the telephone card. One (?) first prize, two each of the second, third, and fourth prizes, three of the fifth prize, five of the sixth prize, and one hundred of the seventh prize were available.
