The "Amabie-San" Present Campaign awarded an "Amabie" card to players that purchased an OCG or Rush Duel product.
This campaign might have been inspired by the amabie yokai trending on Japanese-language Twitter during the COVID-19 pandemic, due to its mythological power to predict both abundant harvests and epidemics.
It was originally scheduled to start on January 16, 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign was delayed until February 20, 2021.[1][2]
