- The effect of this card that prevents the opponent from activating Spells or Traps is similar to that of "Evil Hero Wild Cyclone", "Zeman the Ape King" and some of the "Ancient Gears".
- This card was the first Dark Synchro Monster to be introduced. Its WATER Attribute suggested that Dark Synchro Monsters were not just Synchro Monsters with DARK Attribute.
- The Synchro Material Monsters listed on this card is similar to Zeman the Ape King's.
- Most of the Dark Synchro Monsters that have appeared have had a negative Level in direct opposition to a Synchro Monster the Dark Signer's opponent had summoned. "Frozen Fitzgerald" was negative 5 while "Junk Warrior" was 5. "Hundred-Eyes Dragon" was negative 8 while "Stardust Dragon" was 8. "Zeman the Ape King" was negative 7, while both "Ancient Fairy Dragon" and "Power Tool Dragon" were 7.
- This card was originally supposed to be released in the OCG/TCG within the pack; "Crimson Crisis" as a mentioned Concept Card. This was, however, called off for unknown reasons.
- This monster, along with the other Dark Synchro Monsters from the anime (except for "Dark Flat Top") have been released and confirmed to be released in the OCG/TCG. They were made into normal Synchro Monsters instead of Dark Synchro Monsters.
