• Yubel's effect ties in perfectly with the character's sadism and masochism: whatever "pain" (i.e. battle damage) this card experiences it reciprocates to the opponent in Life Point damage.

• Yubel sounds like "Jubel" or "Übel", the German words for "elation" or "evil", respectively.

• Yubel's hair style resembles that of Yami Marik and Yami Bakura.

• This monster like its stronger counterparts has "Eyes" throught the parts of its body: "Yubel's Third Eye" on its forehead.

• "Yubel" appears in the artwork of "Neos Wiseman".

• "Yubel" is the weakest Level 10 monster, with "Winged Kuriboh LV10" at the third place. But both "Yubel" and "Winged Kuriboh LV10" are strong cards which can destroy opponent's monster(s) and inflict damage directly to opponent, and both are Jaden's favorite card. "Koitsu" is the second weakest Level 10 monster, though Jaden doesn't use it.
