- "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", along with "Dark Magician", and "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" have the most alternative artworks, with 5 different artworks, although in the TCG this card is the only one with all 5 released.
- "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is one of the only two cards in the game to have an official Chinese version, the other being "Dark Magician".
- This card is the cover card for the first TCG expansion, Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon.
- This card was originally the main monster of Yugi Muto, but it was a last second decision to change this monster to Seto Kaiba's primary monster.
- "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is the strongest Normal Monster in the game.
- "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" has a toon version, "Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon".
- "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" has a corrupted counterpart, "Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
- "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is featured in the artwork of "Burst Stream of Destruction", "Dimension Explosion" and "Ancient Rules" and barely in the background of "Meteor Stream".
- The attack of this monster is named "Burst Stream of Destruction" . A Spell support card of the same name has also been released in the game.

- This card is Seto's signature card. It shares its 3000 ATK power with the rivals of other series, which are Chazz's "Armed Dragon LV10" and Jack's "Red Dragon Archfiend". In addition, many trump cards of other archetypes also share the same ATK and DEF (such as "Horus", "Judgment Dragon", and "Volcanic Doomfire"), and often the same Type too.
- This monster was the first card to ever have an alternate art.
- This is the only card to appear in all Yu-Gi-Oh! movies and animes.
- In some Yu-Gi-Oh! video games, this card has an ally, the "Mystical Elf", which can increase the ATK and DEF of this card by 500.
- In the GBA games, there is an alternate card number for this card - 80906030
