The Legendary Knights are a trio of monsters introduced in the Waking the Dragons arc. They are the humanoid versions of the cards "The Fang of Critias", "The Claw of Hermos", and "The Eye of Timaeus". They can be summoned to the field through the use of "Legend of Heart".
Members
There are three main cards in this set, along with several other sub-cards.
The three main members are "Legendary Knight Critias", "Legendary Knight Hermos", and "Legendary Knight Timaeus". All three are Level 8 LIGHT Warriors with 2800 ATK and 1800 DEF.
- Legendary Knight Critias: This card comes from the monster card "The Fang of Critias", owned by Seto Kaiba. His ability allows him to utilize Traps utilized previously. In the anime, he was combined with "Attack Guidance Barrier". His blade's name is "Sword of Wisdom."
- Legendary Knight Hermos: This card comes from the monster card "The Claw of Hermos", owned by Joey Wheeler. His ability allows him to utilize Monsters utilized previously. In the anime, he fused with the cards "Obnoxious Celtic Guard" and "Big Shield Gardna". Also, Hermos can redirect an attack to himself. After that, his controller can remove monsters from his graveyard to return the attack to the attacking monster with that monster's attack multiplied by the number of removed monsters. Yugi used this effect with "Alpha The Magnet Warrior", "Beta The Magnet Warrior", and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior". His blade's name is "Sword of Renewal."
- Legendary Knight Timaeus: This card comes from the monster card "The Eye of Timaeus", owned by Yugi Muto. His ability allows him to utilize Spells from the hand, deck, or graveyard. In the anime, he was combined indirectly with the card "Multiply". His blade's name is "Sword of Justice."
Only one combination had a distinct attack name, which was "Total Defense Shield" used by Timaeus when combined with "Big Shield Gardna".
The main sub-card is the "Knight of Destiny". It is one of the only three monsters with infinite attack points, the other two being "Divine Serpent" and "Super Fusion God". It is summoned by being able to use both effects of "Legendary Knight Critias" and "Legendary Knight Hermos" successfully, then sending them along with "Legendary Knight Timaeus" to the graveyard. It cannot be destroyed in battle, and that effect is what won the battle between Yugi and Dartz.
Voices and Mannerisms
The three Legendary Knights sound and act like their owners. Hermos sounds like Joey, Critias sounds like Kaiba, and Timaeus sounds like Yugi.
Trivia
- "Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand" appears to be designed off the Legendary Knights. Similar to the Knights, this card is also a LIGHT Warrior with 2800 ATK and 1800 DEF. It has Rank 8 to match the Knights' Level 8, as well as having a connection with a Dragon.
