- This is the fourth single digit "Number" in the series, the others being "Number 7: Lucky Straight", "Number 6: OOPArts Atlanthal", and "Number 9: Sky Canopy Star - Dyson Sphere", in that order.
- Of the revealed single-digit Numbers, this is the third number used in a Duel; "Number 9: Sky Canopy Star - Dyson Sphere" is to be shown in the next episode.
- Of the revealed single-digit Numbers, this card's number does not equal its Rank.
- Somewhat surprisingly, this is the first Number monster to actually have the Number 8 included as any one of it's digits since Number 83: Galaxy Queen which debuted in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL - Episode 007. This card debuted in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL - Episode 054, a gap of 47 episodes.
- This card's number, 8, may come from its Xyz Materials, 2 Level 4 monsters, in which 2 multiplied by 4 equals 8.
- this card number could be a reference to the DNA itself as this molecule is formed by pairs (hence the 2) of 4 types of nucleotides. 2x4=8
- This card's number may as well refer to it being the eighth "Number" revealed in the World Duel Carnival, the first seven being "Number 7: Lucky Straight, 'Number 15: Gimmick Puppet - Giant Killer", "Number 32: Shark Drake", "Number 25: Force Focus", "Number 33: OOPArts Super Weapon - Machu Mach", "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet - Heaven's Strings", and "Number 6: OOPArts Atlanthal".
- This is so far the only card that causes a monster to be treated as having no name.
- A genome is the DNA or RNA information encoded in every organism, referencing this card's ability to "inherit" another monster's name.
- Fittingly compared to its Number, its name begins with an H, which is the 8th letter in the English Alphabet.
- This card's number may be a reference to the shape of DNA. The number 8 looks similar to the double helix shape DNA often takes.
