He Special Summons this card via its own effect after Yugi attacks Gansley directly with Obnoxious Celtic Guard. After Gansley used his Deck Master's ability to negate an attack made by "Obnoxious Celtic Guard" and inflict damage to Yugi equal to the ATK of "Obnoxious Celtic Guard", Gansley Tributes this card to activate its effect, Special Summoning "Wall of Illusion" and another copy of this card. In the next episode, this card attacks Yugi directly, but Yugi's Deck Master Kuriboh activates its Deck Master Ability to negate the damage that Yugi would have taken, but this puts "Kuriboh" on the field shortly after, which puts it in danger of being destroyed (When a player's Deck Master is destroyed, the player automatically loses). This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
