- In the Anime, this card was introduced in Teá Gardner's Duel against Mai Valentine. Mai had the card face-down on the field but declined to use it, allowing Teá to win.
- In the first match of the Duelist Kingdom Finals, Mai Valentine used this card against Yugi, destroying his "Spellbinding Circle". Later on, she used another "Harpie's Feather Duster" to destroy Yugi's face-down "Mirror Force".
- It is interesting to note that Mai's usage of two Harpie's Feather Duster's (banned in the TCG Card Game) is one of the few in the entire anime. For the most part, characters only use one copy of banned TCG Cards at most. Mai uses this card quite often during the rest of the series.
- According to one of the Rare Hunters' computers, this was Mai's rarest card during the Battle City tournament. The fact that she still possesses the card when she becomes one of the finalists of Battle City may suggest that she didn't loose any of her duels before she faced Marik Ishtar. She should have lost one of her Harpie's Feather Duster after losing to Marik, however, it was never told.
- During the Virtual World arc, Joey includes this card in his Deck as a reminder of his promise to save Mai when he and Yugi team up to face The Big Five, using it to destroy Gansley's A Legendary Ocean.

- This card appears in the GX Japanese closing song, Borderline Battle.
