- This card can be searched by "Charge of the Light Brigade", "Fire Formation - Tenki", "Tri-Brigade Airborne Assault", "Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen", "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King", "Kittytail, Mystical Beast of the Forest", "Fire Fortress atop Liang Peak", "Shadow's Light", "Shining Angel", "Photon Veil", "Chaos Zone", "Sphere of Chaos", "Serpentine Princess", "Battle Royal Mode - Joining", "Vampire Dragon", "Rescue Ferret", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", and other generic searchers.
- This will prevent your opponent from destroying your Lightsworns with most Battle-Step traps such as "Sakuretsu Armor" or "Dimensional Prison" or spells like "Tribute to the Doomed", but "Lightning Vortex" and "Mirror Force" will still work, so be careful.
- Be aware that "Aurkus" will prevent you from using the effect of "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner". In a matchup against another Lightsworn Deck, it will also protect your opponent's Lightsworn monsters from being targeted.
- This card will also prevent you from playing Equip Spells like "Lightsworn Sabre".
- When "Dimension Fortress Weapon" is on the field, it negates the 2nd effect of this card when top deck cards are sent to Graveyard.
- "Aurkus" prevents the following cards from targeting Lightsworns: "Gladiator Beast Murmillo", "Gladiator Beast Retiari", "Shrink", "Book of Moon", "Enemy Controller", "Dimensional Prison", "D.D.
