- This card can be searched by "Bonfire", "Infernal Flame Banshee", "Hiita the Fire Channeler", "Flamvell Firedog", "Hiita the Fire Charmer, Ablaze", "Summoner Monk", "Primathmech Alembertian", "Battle Royal Mode - Joining", "Vampire Dragon", "Resonator Engine", "Soul Rope", "Rescue Ferret", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be a useful high-ATK monster (with piercing battle damage) for "Flamvell Firedog" to Special Summon during the Battle Phase, before using it and "Firedog" for a Link Summon or a Rank 4 Xyz Summon.
- Since this card's effect will attempt to destroy itself during every End Phase, this can be addressed in a number of ways:
- Negating its effects, with a card like "Axe of Fools", "Overdone Burial", or "Skill Drain". However it is important to note that if this card has already gained ATK from its own effect, negating its effects will cause it to lose that gained ATK as well.
- Utilizing it for a Tribute/Fusion/Ritual/Synchro/Xyz/Link Summon, before it would be destroyed.
- Utilizing it for a card effect or card effect's cost, such as "Ballista Squad", "Circle of the Fire Kings", "Destruct Potion", "Enemy Controller", "Mystik Wok", or "Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai".
- It can be especially useful with card effects such as "Creature Swap" or "Mystic Box", since the opponent won't be able to keep this card due to its self-destructing effect.
- Cards such as "Decisive Battle of Golgonda", "Dimension Guardian", and "Mira the Star-Bearer" can permanently prevent this card from destroying itself, which is good, since this card permanently maintains its own ATK boosts (without the ATK boost typically expiring during the End Phase).
- However, since this card's effect activates during each End Phase, the effect of "Decisive Battle of Golgonda" will need to be applied each time.
- This card can work well with "Begone, Knave!", since if this card manages to inflict battle damage, it will immediately return to the hand and avoid its self-destruction during the End Phase.
