TCG Rulings[1]

  • You cannot activate "Dark Bribe" if your opponent has no cards remaining in his/her Deck.
  • If your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card outside of his/her Draw Phase (Chain Link 1) and you negate its activation and effect with "Dark Bribe" (Chain Link 2), after your opponent draws a card with the effect of "Dark Bribe" you can activate (flip face-up) "Appropriate", because the activation of your opponent's Spell or Trap Card is negated by "Dark Bribe".

OCG Rulings

  • "Dark Bribe" cannot be activated when your opponent has no deck.[3]
  • Drawing 1 card and negating the activation/effect of the Spell/Trap Card and destroying it are considered to occur simultaneously at resolution.[4]
  • When you activate "Dark Bribe" is activated as Chain Link 2, after resolving the chain, the last event to occur is the resolution of "Dark Bribe". At this time, you can activate "Appropriate".[5]

Mentions in Other Rulings

  • While "Splendid Venus" is on the field, you cannot activate cards like "Magic Jammer" which negate the activation and effect of a Spell/Trap Card.[6]
