- This card can be searched by "Cloudian Aerosol", "Celestial Knightlord Parshath", "Victorica, Angel of Bravery", "Eria the Water Charmer, Gentle", "Mother Grizzly", "Rescue Ferret", "Chaos-End Master", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- This card is best used with "Cloudian - Ghost Fog", "Cloudian - Turbulence" and "Cloudian Squall" to obtain more Fog Counters for this card's effect.
- This card works well with "The Sanctuary in the Sky" and "Spirit Barrier".
- Lekunga Tokens make great Tributes.
- For a Water Deck, activate "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth's" effect to summon up to 4 Water Level 4 or lower Fish-Type monsters, then Tribute Summon this card with up to 5 monsters. "Cloudian - Nimbusman" will become a 3500 ATK monster with 5 Fog Counters on itself, while there are no other Fog Counters on the field.
- Combine Cloudian Squall with Ojama Trio. If the Ojama Trio aren't destroyed then Cloudian Squall will produce 3 counters each turn (+1500 Atk with the Trio alone). Also "Scapegoat" and "Multiply" can get 4 counters per turn while "Nimbusman" is on the field if they are protected.
