When "Makyura the Destructor" (whose ATK was 2100 due to it being equipped with "Black Pendant") attacks "The Unfriendly Amazon", Mai activates this card to reduce the ATK of "Makyura the Destructor" by 500. "The Unfriendly Amazon" then destroys "Makyura the Destructor". This activates the second effect of "Black Pendant", inflicting 500 damage to Mai. Marik then uses the effect of "Makyura" to activate "Rope of Life", which Special Summons "Makyura" from the Graveyard and increases its ATK by 800. "Makyura" then attacks and destroys "The Unfriendly Amazon".
