- In the original Manga, this card was a Level 5 monster.
- In Toei's Yu-Gi-Oh! movie, Shougo Aoyama was shown to have this card.
- Yugi first played this card during his first duel against Pegasus. On the next turn Pegasus destroyed this monster using Yugi's own "Koumori Dragon", which was under the influence of the "Dragon Piper". He would use this card quite often for the rest of the Duelist Kingdom arc.
- It next appeared in Yugi's duel with Mako. After summoning it he then played "Full Moon" to power his monster up, but this also caused the tides of the water area to rise. This card was then destroyed by Mako's "Kairyu-Shin" and the attack from the latter mosnter also reduced the land area to 5%.
- He also plays it during his duel with Mako Tsunami and his second duel with Seto Kaiba and his duel with Bandit Keith.
- Though not used in Battle City, this card is one seen when Yugi spreads out cards to rebuild his deck before the Battle City Finals during episode 85.
- Ironheart's pet dog Skye was actually Silver Fang.
Naming
In the Spanish Anime, this card was known as "Colmillo de Plata".
In the French dub, this card was known as "Crochet d'Argent", meaning "Silver Hook".
