- Equipping "Big Bang Shot" to an opponent's monster will cause the opponent to receive any piercing damage this card inflicts, because of the card's text.
- Playing "Giant Trunade" will remove the equipped monster from play. This is particularly useful with "Armed Samurai - Ben Kei" as it will clear your opponent's Spell & Trap Card Zones and one monster, and leave you with another Equip Spell Card to equip to "Ben Kei".
- Equipping this card to "D.D. Survivor" will partially negate the downside of playing "Big Bang Shot", as "D.D. Survivor" is Special Summoned at the End Phase of a turn that it is removed from play.
- This card is very useful in an "Alien" deck. You can equip it to one of your "Aliens" for a much needed power boost or equip it to an opponent's monster, so when you have "Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar" on your field you can use his effect to return "Big Bang Shot" to your hand to remove from play the monster that you had "Big Bang Shot" attached to.
- This card can work well in a Dinosaur Deck with "Tyranno Infinity". Equip this card to a preferably Level 4 (avoiding waste a powerful monster) Dinosaur monster. You get the piercing effect with an attack boost and if your monster is destroyed and removed from play, it will serve to power up your Tyranno Infinity even more.
- To keep your monster from being removed from play, when "Big Bang Shot" would get destroyed, chain "Imperial Iron Wall".
- You can equip "Big Bang Shot" to an opponent's Monster and then activate "Release Restraint Wave" to destroy "Big Bang Shot".
- Equip this card to your opponent's monster and then send this card to the Graveyard by the effect of "Evocator Chevalier" or "Phoenix Gearfried" to remove your opponent's monster as well as use their monster effect.
- Equip this card to a strong monster on your side of the field, and activate "Burden of the Mighty". This means that your opponent's monsters are always vulnerable and it is nearly always possible to damage his life points
- Equip this card to a face up monster your opponent controls, then activate the effect of "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier" on "Big Bang Shot" to remove your opponent's monster from play and gain 500 ATK points.
- Use this card in a Scrap Deck, where you can target it with the effect of "Scrap Dragon" or "Scrap Twin Dragon" while it is equipped to an opponent's monster.
- Equip this card to an opponent's monster, then attack with "Mist Valley Falcon", selecting this card. The opponent's monster will be removed from play, while this card returns to the hand for another use.
- Equip this card to an opponent's monster, then send it to the graveyard to special summon "Card Breaker" via its effect and thus removing your opponent's monster from play.
- This card works very well with powerful monsters without the Piercing effect, such as "Five-Headed Dragon" and "Dragon Master Knight", as there are no Monsters with 5400 original DEF.
- Equip this card to an opponent's monster, then activate Storm, removing your opponents monster from play plus destroying a spell or trap card in the process.
