- "Hero Medal" or "Kozaky's Self-Destruct Button" will be good with this card.
- "Bottomless Trap Hole" and "Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare" will not work against this card.
- "Fusion Weapon" and "Armor Breaker" will be great with this card
- "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" re-sets itself, which works well with "Elemental Hero Mariner".
- Combine with The Dark Door for more protection and a good attack lockdown.
- Combine with "Mage Power" and another set card so this card will have at least 2400 ATK.
- You can Special Summon this card using "Instant Fusion", since "Instant Fusion" treats the Special Summon as a Fusion Summon.
- Use it as the target of "Skydive Scorcher".
- Then banish it using "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" to free it from the restrictions of "Instant Fusion".
- Alternatively, use "Miracle Fusion" to Summon "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero", using this card as either the "HERO" monster or the WATER monster needed for the Summon. This allows "Absolute Zero" to be effective in a WATER Deck, without necessarily needing to run "HERO" monsters (although to be more consistent, one might need it anyway).
