"Dark Strike Fighter":
  • For the adventurous, despite this card's errata, it is still possible to FTK by Tributing a single monster whose Level has been boosted extremely high. Note that there is no rule preventing monster Levels from exceeding 12, unless the card explicitly says so.
    • One method to pull this off is with "Mecha Phantom Beast Tetherwolf" and two "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens". The Level of "Tetherwolf" is increased by the Levels of all said "Tokens", so "Tetherwolf" will be Level (4+3+3=) 10. Activate two copies of "Galaxy Queen's Light". The first will boost all "Tokens" to Level 10, making "Tetherwolf" Level (4+10+10=) 24; the second will boost all "Tokens" to Level 24, making "Tetherwolf" Level (4+24+24=) 52. Tributing "Tetherwolf" for the effect of this card will then inflict 10,400 damage at once.
      • "Mecha Phantom Beast Hamstrat" has the same effect as "Tetherwolf", although since "Hamstrat" is Level 3 to begin with, the final Level will be 45 for a total of 9000 damage.
    • "Hermit of Prophecy" can boost its own Level indefinitely as long as you have "Spellbook" Spell Cards to activate. "The Grand Spellbook Tower" can aid this, as well as being a "Spellbook" Spell Card itself.
    • "Greed Quasar" is a third way to get a monster up to an extremely high Level, although since it must battle to increase its Level, the damage is likely to be redundant.
  • Normal Summon "Black Salvo" and use its effect to get a level 4 DARK Machine monster to Synchro Summon for this card.
    • In a Gimmick Puppet Deck, you can use the effect of "Salvo" to Special Summon "Gimmick Puppet Des Troy" or "Scissor Arms", then tune both for this card, Tribute one of the many Level 8 monsters the Deck runs, and attack with this card. In one turn, this combo can inflict 4200 damage, if this card attacks directly.
      • Otherwise, if using a Machine-only version, you can Tribute "Gearspring Spirit" after you used its effect reducing to 0 the ATK of an opponent's monster. Adding "Solidarity", the potential damage raises by 800, to 5000.

Pre-Errata (Traditional Format)

  • This card has an extremely high potential of creating an OTK situation, especially when utilizing a deck that can swarm and attack relentlessly:
    • Use "Advanced Ritual Art" to Ritual Summon "Demise, King of Armageddon" by sending 2 "Mechanicalchaser", 2 "Blocker", or 1 of each, and clear the field with "Demise"'s effect. Then Normal Summon "Black Salvo", use its effect to Special Summon one of the monsters sent by "Advanced Ritual Art" to Synchro Summon this card for an OTK.
    • "Summoner Monk" and "Rescue Cat": Use "Summoner Monk's" effect to summon another one from your deck, and use that one's effect to summon a "Rescue Cat" from your deck. Then, tribute the "Rescue Cat" and summon two "X-Saber Airbellums" from your deck. Tune the "Airbellums" with your "Summoner Monk", and summon 2 "Dark Strike Fighters". Attack directly with both of them, then tribute both to win (assuming your opponent hasn't gained any Life Points) 2600+2600=5200+(7*200+7*200=2800)=8000.
    • This card fits in quite well with the "Quillbolt Loop". An OTK requires any Tuner + "Imperial Iron Wall" + "Quillbolt Hedgehog". Activate "Quillbolt"'s effect, Tribute it with "Dark Strike Fighter"'s effect while preventing "Quillbolt"'s removal with "Imperial Iron Wall".
    • This card can be very useful in a Yubel Synchro deck, for a quick way to summon, reborn a "Doom Shaman" and use his effect to Special Summon "Sinister Sprocket".
    • If you control this card and "Yubel", use "DNA Surgery" and declare Machine to change "Yubel" into a machine-type monster, use "Machine Duplication" to summon 2 more "Yubels", then tribute them all and this card to inflict 7400 points of damage.
    • If used in a Fish Synchro deck, this card can be used for an OTK if you also have "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" on the field. Just attack with both of them directly and tribute both using this card's effect for an OTK by life point deduction.
    • Use "DNA Surgery" and declare Plant to use "Copy Plant's" effect for heavy effect damage. Add "Inferno Reckless Summon" with "Copy Plant" for extra damage.
    • "Black Ptera" and "Ultimate Offering" creates an OTK.
  • This card works well in a "Destiny Hero" deck. Tribute "Destiny End Dragoon", which you can Special Summon during your next Standby Phase.
