- Except for "Ancient Gear Golem" and "Ancient Gear Beast", this card can summon any of the "Ancient Gear" monsters.
- This card is exceptionally powerful in "Gadget" decks. When a "Gadget" is destroyed, you can Special Summon another one and use its effect to add yet another "Gadget" to your hand, netting you massive card advantage.
- This card can help gather "VWXYZ" monsters.
- This card can be used to easily summon "Satellite Cannon".
- This card can help maintain a "Cyber Dragon" on your side of the field. "Cyber Dragon" -> "Cyber Dragon Zwei" -> "Proto-Cyber Dragon".
- This card can aid Synchro Summoning as you can Special Summon monsters of high level but low ATK like "Woodborg Inpachi" and "UFOroid".
- You can also summon Tuners like most "Synchrons" and "Black Salvo".
- This card works well in a Vehicroid deck. "Steamroid" -> "Drillroid" -> "Truckroid" -> "Expressroid" (searching out Expressroid is especially useful to increase your card advantage).
- Use this card with Machine-type Recruiters, such as "Cyber Larva", "UFO Turtle", and "UFOroid". Also, use it with "Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive" to draw a card as well.
- You can summon "Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast" without tribute. And when it is destroyed you may summon a monster below 2800 ATK.
- This strategy makes it useful in Summoning "Ally of Justice" monsters, since it only counts their Attribute in the Graveyard, so you can use "DNA Transplant", and still Summon a DARK Machine-Type monster with less than 2800 ATK.
