- This card can be searched by "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk", "Dark General Freed", "Creeping Darkness", "Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg", "Hieratic Dragon King of Atum" and "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms".
- Easy ways to Special Summon "Rare Metal Dragon" include "Triggered Summon", "A Rival Appears!", "Relieve Monster", "Soul Rope", "Lord of D." & "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" or "King Dragun", "Hidden Soldiers", "Marauding Captain", "Familiar Knight", "Summoner Monk", "Dark Horus", "Goblindbergh", "Ancient Fairy Dragon", "Crashbug Road", "Tin Goldfish", "Hieratic Dragon King of Atum" and "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon".
- Besides having a higher level, which can cause problems under certain circumstances, "Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast" works essentially the same way as this card, in that it is very powerful if it is ever Special Summoned, except that Fusilier Dragon has higher attack, can be Normal Summoned as a 1400-attack monster, and can be Tribute Summoned to circumvent its normal effect.
- With "Zombie World" on the field, you can Special Summon this card quickly when combined with cards like "Zombie Master" or "Mezuki".
