- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Transmodify", "Painful Escape", "Ties of the Brethren", "Mimiclay", "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Rai-Mei", "Photon Veil", "Magician's Circle", "Shining Angel", "Chaos Zone", "Arnis, the Empowered Warrior", "Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior", "Apprentice Magician", "The Grand Spellbook Tower", "Spellbook Star Hall", "Fusion Conscription" and "Fusion Reserve".
- "Second Coin Toss" can be used to improve your chances of calling the coin toss right.
- In a "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" deck with gamble cards, Time Wizard can be invaluable. Should you call the coin toss wrong while you control said Monster while it is equipped with "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword"(And possibly while you control more Dragons) activate "Barrel Behind the Door" or "Spell of Pain" to decimate your opponent's Life Points.
- However, if you call it right while you control "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon", you will be free to attack directly for an OTK.
- Alternatively, if you control this card and "Baby Dragon", activate "Left Arm Offering" to dump several Dragons into the Graveyard before adding "Polymerization" or a variation of it to your hand to summon "Thousand Dragon".
- If this card is played in a "Dark Magician" Deck to Summon "Dark Sage", and it was Summon sucessfully, pick a card like "Heavy Storm"; your opponent's monsters will be cleared with "Time Wizard" and can now clear their Spell and Trap Cards with your own Spell.
- This card's effect is very powerful but very risky. A good alternative to it (that still has a chance to destroy all your monsters, but with no burn) is "Dark Master - Zorc".
- Use this card's effect when it is the only monster on your field, so that if it fail, it is not too disastrous.
- This card can be used along with "Divine Grace - Northwemko" targeting anything on the field (even "Time Wizard") to feel free to use the effect of "Time Wizard". There is a chance that either a 3200 direct attack or lose just 250 LP.
- If "Time Wizard" is used in a Spell Counter Deck, is easy to use its effect without risk. Be sure to have enough Spell Counters to protect your own Spellcaster-Type monsters, so if it fail, "Defender, the Magical Knight" can be used to protect them from being destroyed and take no damage, as no monster was destroyed. If a "Second Coin Toss" is used, your monster can be protected twice.
- If a "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero" is on your field, then regardless of the result, all your opponent's monsters will be destroyed, of course using its effect whenever, the chance is highly inadvisable.
- In a Zombie-Type Deck, this card can be used with "Archfiend Zombie-Skull" and either "DNA Surgery" or "Zombie World" to turn all your monsters into Zombies. Then, if this card effect fail, none of them will be destroyed.
- In case it fail, chain the following cards in response to the effect. Keep in mind that cards cannot be chained to the coin flip because it is not considered a Cost.
- Use "Rainbow Life" to gain the Life Points that would be lost with this card effect.
- By using "Alchemy Cycle", your monsters' ATK will be 0, so damage wouldn't be taken.
Traditional Format
- This card can be searched by "Spellbook of Judgment", "Sangan", "Last Will" and "Witch of the Black Forest".
- If you use the underlined tip above while you have "Forced Requisition" and "Super Rejuvenation" active during the same turn(Although this is unlikely and should be taken with a grain of salt, given that a total of 6 cards are required), this will obliterate your opponent's hand while strengthening your own at the end of your turn.
Video Games
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, you can fuse this with:
- Dragons weaker than "Thousand Dragon" to form "Thousand Dragon".
- "Embryonic Beast" to form "Summoned Skull".
- Turtles to Summon "30,000-Year White Turtle".
