- This card appears in the artworks of "Descending Lost Star" and "Mist Valley Thunder Lord".
- This was the first "Ally of Justice" monster to be released in the TCG.
- Catastor has a "prototype" version called "Ally of Justice Core Destroyer".
- "Ally Mind" is embedded in the head. Ironically, it can't be used to Synchro Summon this card unless its level is decreased, since both cards are level 5.
- It is identical to the "Quickdraw Synchron" and "Junk Warrior" situation.
- This card, along with "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" and "Mist Wurm" were all short printed in Hidden Arsenal, so you would only find a maximum of 1 to 2 of each per 36 pack booster box, making them exceedingly rare.
- Considering this monster is on the artwork of "Descending Lost Star", and possibly considering the relationship between Synchro monsters and the alignment of stars, "Catastor" is likely derived from "catasterism," the act of immortalizing something as a constellation of stars.
- Alternatively, "Catastor" could be a play on the word "catastrophe" considering its powerful destruction effect.
- In the artwork for "Mist Valley Thunder Lord", it is carrying "Catastor's" head, implying that it defeated "Catastor". In the context of the actual card game, this would be impossible as "Mist Valley Thunder Lord" cannot beat "Catastor" because Catastor's effect automatically destroys any Non-DARK monster.
- Actually "Mist Valley Thunder Lord" can destroy Catastor", in battle using "Fiendish Chain", a very common card in mist valley decks, negate the effect of Catastor and bypass the destructive effect, so in damage step bounce back the Fiendish Chain and destroy it in regular battle.
