• This card's name may be a pun in Japanese, as the Descend Dragon portion of her name (降竜, Kōryū) is a homophone for the Japanese for the Yellow Dragon of the Centre (黃龍, Kōryū).
  • Per this, the end of her staff is a golden color.

• This card is the only "Magician" Pendulum Monster to support Fusion Summoning.

• This card may be based on "Dark Magician" and "Dark Magician Girl". This card is a DARK Level 7 Monster, and in the anime, she is shown to have a serious expression like the former.
  • Her synergy with Dragon-type Monsters also alludes to the fact that both "Dark Magician" and "Dark Magician Girl" can be used in such decks to summon "Amulet Dragon" and "Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight". In fact, "Dragoncaller's" effect lets you use her to Fusion Summon those Monsters.
