  • This card is loosely based on Oberon, the king of the fairies from William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." And in this story, Oberon's wife is Titania.
  • Truesdale is the family name of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX characters Syrus and his older brother Zane in the dubbed version.
  • This card's effect changed when it was errata'd. However the actual effect still remained the same in some video games, causing confusion.
  • Oddly, despite this card being a "Fairy King", it is a Plant-type monster, rather than a Fairy.
    • This is most likely because the Fairy-type is referred to as the "Angel"-type in the OCG.
  • This card has a Xyz Monster counterpart "Fairy King Albverdich"
    • These two monsters have similiar Atk and DEF with Albverdich having 100 more attack and 100 less defense
      • These monsters have similiar effects with Albverdich effecting non-earth type monsters and Truesdale effecting only plants, Albverdich also decreases attack and defense by 500 points and Truesdale increases attack and defense by the same amount
