- This card is named after Topaz.
- This card has a counterpart, "Gem-Knight Prismaura".
- This monster wields two tonfas, possibly reflecting its ability to attack twice in a single battle phase.
- There is a small mark resembles a fire under the gemstone on this monster's chest-plate. This is hinting that the Fusion partner of "Gem-Knight Tourmaline" to form this monster is a Pyro-Type "Gem-Knight" monster. It is supported by some red trim on its armor, the same color as either "Gem-Knight Sardonyx" or "Gem-Knight Garnet". But "Garnet" is more likely the exact partner, since both the later and this monster share a similar design on both sides of their helmets.
