• This is the first "Red-Eyes" monster whose attribute is WIND.

• A wyvern is a type of dragon with no arms. It is found in European Mythology, and is often associated with destruction and pestilence.

• This card is arguably an adolescent version of "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" since its effect only summons older and more powerful versions of "Red-Eyes Black Dragon and not "Red-Eyes Black Chick", the younger version. (It cannot summon "Red-Eyes Black Chick" because "Red-Eyes Black Chick" doesn't have 「レッドアイズ」 in its Japanese name thus its not a "Red-Eyes" monster at all)

• This cards effect is similar to that of "Mezuki" in that it Special Summons monsters of a similar kind or type by removing itself from play.

• Similar to the relationship between "Dark Magician" and "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" this card has a 100 ATK and DEF less then "Skilled Dark Magician".
