Evil Eye back ground story
 +
 +
The creatures of the evil eye lived in the city pareidolia, under the ruling of their queen/goddess Selene.
 +
 +
Selene was a benevolent ruler and wielded a lot of power. She used her powers to corrupt the people into willingly to joining the evil eye. Or she would corrupts people if Selene saw some use in the people in front of her.
 +

After decades of ruling her empire. Selene, once again, wanted her empire to grow and thus she set her followers on a mission to enslave more people for her army.
 +
 +
Her army spread out around the land to enslave whomever they came upon, forcing them to work for their new queen. Within the first month, hundreds of people were enslaved. But the Goddess wasn't satisfied with the results, as she expected more from her men.
 +
Selene got frustrated and threatened her own people to torture those who didn’t get at least 50 slaves in a day.
 +
 +
Through this action, her army felt very ungrateful for their hard work. And when she spoke the words, it was the last drop, because it was for them impossible to get 50 slaves in a single day.
 +
Her soldiers looked at each other and instead of carrying out their queen's orders they rose up against her in rebellion. Successfully killing the queen.
 +
One of the generals, one named Sylviana knew that Selene got her powers from her eyes and gauged them out with a knife.
 +
She gave the eyes to their weapon smith, a man named Gorgoneio and told him to make powerful weapons out of it for the next leaders of the evil eye.
 +
Gorgoneio accepted and immediately started working on the weapons while the people of the evil eye were trying to figure out who would lead them now.
 +
 +
After several weeks of hard labour, Gorgoneio had finished his newest creation. And created two magical trinkets that were supposed to be worn on the eye.
 +
The right eye he named it the Evil Eye Of Selene. And because Gorgoneio wanted some credit for his hard work and thus he named the left eye, Evil Eye Of Gorgoneio.
 +
 +
Gorgoneio decided to test his creation and tried out the Evil Eye Of Selene to see if it worked. He equiped it on his right eye and immediately felt a very powerful energy surging through his body. The power was to much for him and took it from his eye.
 +
Gorgoneio looked in the mirror and noticed his right eye turned red. He was pleased with the results of the first trinket and tried out the other.
 +
When he placed it on his left eye nothing seemed to happen, until he accidently burned his hand on a hot piece of metal and realised that this trinket reacted on pain and damage to the wearer’s body.
 +
Gorgoneio took both trinkets and walked with pride to the general Sylviana and told her that the weapons she asked for were finished.
 +
Sylvania told him that the leaders weren't chosen yet, but she would like to show a demonstration of the weapons to the army of the evil eye.
 +
In the timespan of a single hour, her forced had gathered to witness the two powerful weapons that were made by Gorgoneio.
 +
 +
 +
 +
Sylviana gave the honors to Gorgoneio to explain how they worked and the people of the evil eye loved it. They liked the eye of Selene more than the eye of Gorgoneio, because with the left eye you need to sacrefice blood to make it work and the right eye didn't seem to have any requirements.
 +
 +
Sylviana took the eye of Selene and tested its power. Because she loved it so much she kept it and crowned herself as the new queen of the evil eye.
 +
A man named Perasus stood up and yelled at her, that she can't claim to be their new queen because she wasn't chosen. Sylviana stretched out her arm to him and the trinket started to shine. In a blink of a eye she obliterated Perasus.
 +
But as Perasus was loved by his men. This action caused an outrage within the army and a war among themselves started. This war became known as “The war of the eye”.
 +
Gorgoneio took a few steps back as he saw his fellow evil eyed killing each other for the mighty trinket.
 +
He fled to the left side of the castle and made sure no one could lay a hand on the his trinket. He hid it, somewhere within the left side of the castle.
 +
 +
Gorgoneio felt guilt and regret, he questioned himself. “Why did he have to make those trinkets?” They only causes his friends and comrades to kill each other only to gain power.
 +
Gorgoneio only had one thing on his mind and that was to take back the first trinket and hide it as well.
 +
Outside he could hear his comrades yelling and screaming, he took a look out of the window and saw that the war continued outside the castle walls. Many people were being killed through the use of force or magic.
 +
Gorgoneio slapped himself on his forhead, he had to make a plan to get the eye of Selene back. He rushed to the first level of the castle.
 +
As he arrived at the gates, he was faced with a horrific sight. As the ground was covered with corpses, some of those he considered his friends were among the dead.
 +
 +
Gorgoneio heard someone calling him. He looked around to see were the voice came from and saw that Sylvania was still breathing. He walked up to her and Sylvania asked Gorgoneio to help her.
 +
But Gorgoneio was still angry at her, because she caused this war.
 +
Blinded by rage he set his food on her head and finished her off. After all life had left the body of Sylvania. He ran outside the castle and followed the direction were the enraged warrior went, that were fighting for the eye of Selene.
 +
 +
After a several minutes passed, it only grew more silent. For the mass of people fighting with each other, grew smaller and smaller. With every 100 meters he moved further towards his goal, Gorgoneio also passed less and less corpses.
 +
 +
As he arrived at his destination, at the end of the piles of corpses, he found a dead woman with the eye of Selene in her hand.
 +
Kneeling down her, Gorgoneio picked up the trinket and thought to himself: 'This... Acursed thing! It should've never been made!  I'll make sure nobody will find it!"
 +
He looked around him and noticed, that he was all alone. He was the only person left of the evil eye. He knew what he had to do. He had to hide the trinket once and for all and make sure they stayed hidden forever.

Gorgoneio travelled over the land, for many kilometers until he felt it was far away enough from Pareidolia. After traveling for 20 days he saw a cave that tunneled deep into the underground, its tunnels stretched for kilometers.
 +
At the end of one of these tunnels, he made a pillar and rested the eye of Selene on it.
 +
He turned around and left the trinket there, so it may never be found. Unfortunatly for Gorgoneio he found himself lost in the tunnels. He didn't manage to find his way back out as he slowly but surely died.

Rebirth Of The Evil Eye

 +
A thousand years had passed, as two girls were born. Their names were Serziel and Medusa.
 +
As Medusa grew into a young woman 25 years of age, she would often get herself in a lot of trouble in short periods of time.
 +
Her friend Serziel aging 28 years at the time, was a treasure huntres that also tried to keep Medusa out of trouble. But without any success, as Medusa was quite a stubborn one.
 +
 +
Once upon a time they went to a library because Zeray, a friend of Serziel had found something.
 +
He handed them several scrolls to her, with clue's written on it.
 +
Serziel asked what kind of treasure it was and Zeray told them that the clue's supposedly lead to a trinket, that can fulfil any wish.
 +
Intrigued Serziel and Medusa looked at each other. They were in agreement and wanted to find that trinket.
 +
 +
They sat at a table, busy reading the clue's, trying to figure were they had to go.
 +
After Medusa had found the first clue, they planned a trip on the very next day.
 +
The following morning they managed to get some supplies and horses to ride on. And so their adventure began.
 +
 +
During their adventure they got held up by an old man, that tried to convince them that the trinket they were looking for is very dangerous and that it doesn't grant any wish at all.
 +
Serziel didn't believe the man and they continued their journey. They managed to find the clue's and solve the puzzles for the next part of their search. And after a long and tiring search they finally found the eye of Selene on a pillar deep inside a cave.
 +
 +
Medusa and Serziel started arguing who would try the trinket first as Medusa was afraid that Serziel would betray her because of her own stupid actions.
 +
Serziel told her friend that she was stupid at times, but promised Medusa that she wouldn’t do that, as there was no reason to use the trinket for that.
 +
Serziel held the trinket close to her right eye, before she realised the trinket clamped onto her face. As power rushed through her body and she heard madening whispers inside her head. Serziel grabbed the trinket and tried to pull it off, but the trinket held tight onto her face. Serziel pleaded Medusa to help her.
 +
Medusa helped her friend right away and managed to pull the trinket off. Serziel was crying and shaking with fear. Medusa was worried about Serziel and when she looked at her, she was shocked when she saw that the right eye of Serziel had turned red.
 +
They were thinking about what they should do now and they started talking about going back to their hometown with the trinket and hide it under Serziel's house.
 +
On their way home they faced several criminals, Medusa stood against them. But as she was outnumbered five to one, the criminals ganged up on her. They beat her down with ease. Serziel was frozen and didn't know what to do but she wanted to do something because she knew that she would be next. Suddenly she heard a voice. The voice of a women whispering in her mind. The voice told her to equip the eye, because only then could she save her friend. Serziel took the trinket slowly out of her bag and moved it carefully to her right eye.
 +
The eye of Selene clamped onto her face and once again, power surged through her body.
 +
Her eyes became smaller and an insane grin grew on her face. She stretched her arm to one of the criminals and turned him into dust.
 +
The others stopped immediately and looked at Serziel who was staring them down with an insane facial expression. The criminals didn't think as they just ran for their lives.
 +
 +
Serziel helped Medusa from the ground and with the trinket she opened a portal. Serziel told Medusa to go in there because someone wanted to meet them. Medusa first refused to go through it, but Serziel promised her to protect her at all cost. This convinced her and together they went through the portal to set foot in the domain of the evil eye, the castle of Pareidolia.
 +
 +
The whispers that spoke to Serziel, told her to go into that castle to meet her.
 +
They walked together to the castle and once they were inside the castle, it’s doors closed. Serziel took the trinket from her face and a ghostly woman appeared in front of them.
 +
The woman introduces herself as Selene, queen of the evil eyed. She told Serziel and Medusa what happened in the past in Pareidolia.
 +
After she told the history of events that had unfolded within the realm, she told them that she choose them to rebuild her army. Selene offered them gifts if they helped her but Serziel and Medusa refused the offer.
 +
 +
Selene got infuriated and forced them to work for her. She used her magic to corrupt them and sealed the spell with a symbol.
 +
Serziel gained the seal on her stomach and Medusa gained a seal on her right hand. Selene transformed their bodies into her image and Serziel and Medusa obtained demonic traits. Shaping their appearance to how we know them today.
 +
Because Serziel already has the eye of Selene. Selene gave Medusa the eye of Gorgoneio. They were both marked as watchers/keepers of the evil eye trinkets. When they both obtained their respective trinket they used their powers on 2 statues, which were standing in the main hall.
 +
Giving life to the statues. Serziel got Catoblepas and Medusa got Basilius and they started to rebuild Selene's empire. This time of age was called: The Rebirth Of The Evil Eye.
