I would like to know if I can activate Dimension Wall in response to an attack of Chaos Ancient Gear Giant. If it is not a lot to ask, I would like to have an explanation of why it is legal (in case it is), since I gotta convince my local judge of the legality of the move, because it has been ruled as illegal previously by him in locals. RE. I'd better not be wrong about this, but I'm fairly sure I'm not.

Of course you can. Chaos Ancient Gear Giant is merely immune to Spell/Trap effects, and only prevents monster effects from activating during battle. Dimension Wall is fair game. Your judge may have assumed that Chaos had the same effect as other Ancient Gear monsters, but it doesn't (in fact, see Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V - Episode 109 for this very example in terms of activating Spells/Traps in response to this card.) Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 08:29, June 22, 2017 (UTC)
