I have two face-down monster cards on the field one is cyber jar, and the other one is fiber jar,my opponent activated swords of reveling light, so it flips both cyber jar, and fiber jar, So I decided to make cyber jar chain link 1, and I make fiber jar chain link 2, would cyber jar effect still work even do it is in the deck, when cyber jar resolve?96.44.92.186 (talk) 22:02, June 28, 2013 (UTC)

Now, unlike every other discussion involving these flip effect monsters being destroyed in battle, here they still remain on the field after being flipped face-up. Since you put Fiber Jar as Chain Link 2, the Decks are reset (ignoring banished monsters). Then Cyber Jar, as Chain Link 1, attempts to resolve. Since PSCT words its effect as "Destroy all monsters on the field, then both players reveal the top 5 cards of their Decks", but there are no monsters to even destroy, Cyber Jar's effect effectively does nothing. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 03:26, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

It might be helpful to note that if there are monsters on the opponents side of the field, Cyber Jar resolves as usual using those monsters. DexxIsBack (talkcontribs) 04:11, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

No, no, Fiber Jar resets both player's sides of the game before Cyber Jar gets to resolve. Unless you speak of some bizarre situation where a monster happens to appear in the midst of that Chain, there should be nothing on the field at all when Cyber Jar is resolving. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 08:54, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

@Gadjiltron: Where did you get that bullcrap detail that "Cyber Jar" required to kill monsters before it would be able to scanning the pick-up cards and Summon Level 4 or lower monsters? It's like "Ceasefire" or "Swords of Revealing Light", they don't need a face-down monster to start their second effect (Inflict damage or prevent attack for three turns, respective). Even if there are no monsters beside "Cyber Jar" when it leaving the field (such as chaining to it flip summon by Torrential Tribute), you still can Special Summon/Set 4 or lower Level monsters from the pick-up cards. --iFredCat 13:04, June 29, 2013 (UTC)
@Fred...PSCT was used in Gadjil's explanation, and it makes perfect sense. Cyber Jar's projected PSCT effect keeps on repeating "then", which means you need to do the first part of the effect, which is destroy all monsters, to even continue on. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:28, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

Why does cyber jar does not have the problem solving text on it's wikia page, it reads this: FLIP: Destroy all monsters on the field, then both players reveal the top 5 cards from their Decks, then Special Summon all revealed Level 4 or lower monsters in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position, also add any remaining cards to their hand. (If either player has less than 5 cards in their Deck, reveal as many as possible.) In order to be true on what you said Dark Ace, it should say this for its effect. Flip: destroy all monsters on the field, and if you do, then both player reveal the top 5 cards from their deck.......96.44.92.186 (talk) 13:50, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

This IP-Addressed User read my mind... "..., and if you do,..." is what making it more sense if it had to do after first effect resolved successful. "..then.." is just a dumb choice of word to making it work from one to the other - to me, it sound like SoRL or Ceasefire. In the non-problem solving text to be able not to do the effect because it did not destroy monsters, it should have said: destroy all monsters, and after that both player pick 5 cards from the top of their deck...It shows then instead of and, will only know for sure when it gets updated.96.44.92.186 (talk) 14:35, June 29, 2013 (UTC)
