My opponent tribute summons chief and i activate trap hole.Priority no longer exists and chief's effect is activated manually since it says:"you can".Does this mean that chief's effect is not activated?46.190.63.67 (talk) 10:25, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

this has nothing to do with priority, Gravekeeper's Chief is a monster with an effect that activates when he is summoned, in order to stop his effect, you MUST negate the summon or the effect upon summon with Effect Veiler or Skill Drain. a simple Trap Hole will NOT stop his effect to activate. hope it helps D-range (talkcontribs) 10:47, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Chief has a Trigger Effect, "Priority" had only dealt with Ignition Effect monsters. The bottom line is this:
1) Opponent Summon GK Chief, his Trigger Effect activates, opponent then target a monster in grave to revive.
2) Trap Hole is activated, destroying Chief.
3) Your opponent is allowed to summon a GK monster from the grave, which they had targeted.

This would behave a little bit differently if you, or you opponent have necrovalley face-up on the field:

1) same

2) same

3) will resolve without effect since card in graveyard are unaffected by card effect that move them away from graveyard, except there own effect.96.44.92.186 (talk) 12:55, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

If Gravekeeper's chief is not on the field and you have necrovalley on the field would double spell still work on your opponent's spell card that are not continuous, since the card only leave the graveyard with double spell if it is continuous?96.44.92.186 (talk) 12:55, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

You forgot that Gravekeeper's Chief has the "Cards in your Graveyard are unaffected by "Necrovalley"." effect. A Gravekeeper monster will be Special Summoned from the Graveyard.

The effect of Double Spell does Target the Spell Card in the Graveyard. You will not be able to activate it while Necrovalley is face-up on the field.  HHT   - (Talk to the Turtle) 17:40, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

No I did not forget about gravekeeper's chief continuous effect since I said 2 is the same trap hole would destroy gravekeeper's chief before gravekeeper's chief trigger effect resolve, since gravekeeper's chief is no longer on the field however is trigger effect is still on the field, the continuous effect is no longer apply.

Hide Head Turtle: For double spell that always doesn't work is an "out date Previously official TCG" The official TCG State this: "If a card targets something in the Graveyard, or looks at cards in the Graveyard, but doesn't disturb their rest, it DOES work. (For example, a card that counts the number of monsters in the Graveyard.)[1]"

According to official TCG ruling Double spell would only work if it target normal spell card, "except sword of reviling light and different dimmension capsule", and quick play spell card.

Is my statement above correct.96.44.92.186 (talk) 23:35, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

You're right. I forgot that the TCG text for Necrovalley was errata'd to be more like it in the OCG.

1. Necrovalley & Gravekeeper's Chief vs Trap Hole

You will be able to Target the Gravekeeper monster in the Graveyard during the activation of the effect of Gravekeeper's Chief while Necrovalley is face-up on the field. If your opponent activates Trap Hole in Chain to it, Chief will be destroyed first and the "Cards in your Graveyard are unaffected by "Necrovalley"." effect will no longer be applied. Then, the Gravekeeper monster will not be Special Summoned from the Graveyard.

2. Necrovalley vs Double Spell

The effect of Double Spell does Target the Spell Card in the Graveyard but it does not affect it. You will be able to activate Double Spell while Necrovalley is face-up on the field.  HHT   - (Talk to the Turtle) 06:17, July 13, 2012 (UTC)

Hide Head Turtle: Would Double spell work on continuous spell card(Double spell will cause continuous spell card to move away from graveyard), even if Necrovalley is on the field?96.44.92.186 (talk) 12:25, July 13, 2012 (UTC)

"If you activate "Double Spell" and select a Continuous, Field, or Equip Spell Card, or "Swords of Revealing Light", you place the selected Spell Card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, so you need 2 vacant Spell & Trap Card Zone spots (1 for "Double Spell", 1 for the selected card). The Continuous/Field/Equip/"Swords of Revealing Light" Spell Card then remains on the field as normal."

You cannot activate a card if you know that it's effect will not resolve properly. Since the Continuous/Field/Equip Spell Card/Swords of Revealing Light cannot be removed from the Graveyard, you cannot activate Double Spell targeting those cards.  HHT   - (Talk to the Turtle) 12:34, July 13, 2012 (UTC)

I found something in previously official TCG and it doesn't show it is out of date which according to the official TCG it could be out of date:

"You cannot use "Double Spell" while "Necrovalley" is in effect." 96.44.92.186 (talk) 12:39, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
