Hello all! I'm building a deck for a friend of mine. This deck is a mostly pure Volcanic Deck. It should include some stall and burn cards. I recently got the idea that it should be a more of a Volcanic/Remove from Play Deck, but it needs some more support for that and I thought D.D. Dynamite might be a good card but I found out...IT DOESN'T F***ING WORK WITH SOUL OF FIRE OR VOLCANIC COUNTER! So, if by any chance someone can think of something that ties in with Burn and RFP tactics, that would be much appreciated. And even though they are the most likely to be recommended to be removed Seven Tools of the Bandits and Magic Jammers are staying unless I get three Dark Bribes. Please don't recommend monsters (other than Volcanic). Also, Draw cards are needed, any ideas are welcome! Hello all! I'm building a deck for a friend of mine. This deck is a mostly pure Volcanic Deck, that is, a majority of the cards are Volcanic and the rest tend to support the Volcanic’s theme. While keeping most of the Deck's monster contents the same, I'd like for it to incorporate some of the following ideas:
 +
* Volcanic Burn/Swarm: Most Decks nowadays have some kind of swarming ability and I was wondering it there is a way to involve swarming with the Volcanics. Any ideas?
 +
* Volcanic Burn/Stall Lock: The most original and basic, if not intended, form of the Volcanic/Burn idea. This probably won’t be an honest lock deck because it won’t stop effects. It’ll just blow the hell out of an monsters on the field with a "Blaze Accelerator" card.
 +
* Volcanic Burn/RFP: With cards like Soul of Fire, Volcanic Counter and Firewall out there, I was wondering if there were some other cards that can involve removing from play cards, preferably mine, and using their removed state as a way to do some damage.
 +
Other aspects:
 +
* Draw Power: If I focused on the RFP idea, I could use Soul of Fire to my advantage. When I use Soul of Fire, my opponent gets to draw a card. This is can be to my advantage if I use cards like Appropriate to increase the Deck's draw power. This is also the case if I decide to use, and I probably will use it, Dark Bribe. I assume cards such as Card Destruction, Hand Destruction and Dark World Dealings will allow me to dump certain cards into the Graveyard. These can also be recycled with Royal Firestorm Guards. But draw power itself is always an thing that can be worked on.
 +
There is only a few other tactics. This deck does use an a killer combo that involves Volcanic Doomfire, Ojama Trio and Battle Mania, so I'd hope the deck itself doesn't interfere with it. Thanks for your time. Volcanic Soul

  • Volcanic Burn/Swarm: Most Decks nowadays have some kind of swarming ability and I was wondering it there is a way to involve swarming with the Volcanics. Any ideas?
  • Volcanic Burn/Stall Lock: The most original and basic, if not intended, form of the Volcanic/Burn idea. This probably won’t be an honest lock deck because it won’t stop effects. It’ll just blow the hell out of an monsters on the field with a "Blaze Accelerator" card.
  • Volcanic Burn/RFP: With cards like Soul of Fire, Volcanic Counter and Firewall out there, I was wondering if there were some other cards that can involve removing from play cards, preferably mine, and using their removed state as a way to do some damage.

Other aspects:

  • Draw Power: If I focused on the RFP idea, I could use Soul of Fire to my advantage.

There is only a few other tactics. This deck does use an a killer combo that involves Volcanic Doomfire, Ojama Trio and Battle Mania, so I'd hope the deck itself doesn't interfere with it. Thanks for your time. Dmaster (Talk Contribs Count) 00:19, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Ideas

Maybe Lava Golem, Nightmare Wheel and Bad Reaction to Simochi could work. --Dragon Slayer (Contribs Count) 22:41, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

  • If cost doesn't matter, take out the 3 Seven Tools of the Bandit, and Magic Jammers. Replace them with Dark Bribes and Solemn Judgments. Add a Mirror Force, and note that Messenger of Peace is possibly the best stall card in the game, for the fact of it's low cost, and can be destroyed during any of your Standby Phase.
    • Lava Golem is a good card, I actually run three in my deck, and it makes your opponent scared to place down more then one monster on the field.
      • You may also want to put in some Draw cards, because you seem to be lacking on that field.
        • Some good traps for any fire deck are things like Backfire. I actually use it in a purely fire based burn deck. Dark Room's effect makes it useful in burn decks, adding in the extra damage to help finish them off quicker. Also you could try a Reversal Burn with things like Bad Reaction to Simochi and Gift Card.Katsuma-San 23:50, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Remove Soul of Fire. It's just not a good card. You can inflict a maximum of 1500 damage, and you allow your opponent to gain card advantage, plus you cannot retrieve the monster.
