Number ?[edit]

This is the Number that appears behind IV in Soul Drive, isn't it?--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 17:28, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

So far, we only have the Number's name, we don't know if the number behind IV in Soul Drive is actually Destiny Leo, but there are 80% of chances of being. Still, we can't add that in any article, it'd be speculation. LegenaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 17:34, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

I'd raise those chances to 85-90%. Also, could it be this card?Unknown Xyz Monster.jpg--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 17:42, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

To be honest that card doesn't look like a leo... I might be wrong but we got to remember the Tron family has captured a lot of Numbers. I just hope this isn't another rank 8 monster.--Laggia Will Lag You(Talk) 18:04, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, it is a rank 8 monster but you have to closely take a look at the stars in the card. F.E.A.R. (talkcontribs) 18:12, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
Yes i can see it. But how do we know that card on the picture is Destiny Leo.--Laggia Will Lag You(Talk) 18:14, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
"it a Rank 8 and it has a EARTH Attribute", Talk:Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL - Episode 033#Talk:Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL - Episode 033. -- The Goblin  I'm feelin' the flow  18:18, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
Ive noticed that the number for this card is in the picture posted above. If you watch the opening "Soul Drive", right before they show the "Yugioh ZEXAL" part in the beginning where it shows a wall of cards, "Destiny Leo", or at least the Xyz card posted above, which is a number card, is shown and if you look very closely to the yellow, you can make out a 1 as the first part of the number, but the second number is hard to figure out. From looking at what numbers have been identified, the only numbers not known between 10-19 would be 13, 14, and 18. In the opening, look at the card 5th row down and 7th card to the right

empath13 (talkcontribs) 19:30, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

...the Number in that picture looks like it has the same art as Giant Killer's anime art, which means it's possibly just an animation mistake and not foreshadowing. Also, that means that the card in the OP's wall of cards is also probably Giant Killer. --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 04:14, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

It is Number 15. I am sorry, my eye couldn't see the Attribute as DARK. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 04:23, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry everyone but that isn't destiny leo, it's really No. 15 Grimmick Puppet - Giant killer just look in the gallery on Number 15, its the same picture. --108.225.20.64 (talk) 04:35, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

Ya, now i see that it is Giant Killer as the card, but why would they have it as a silhouette when they show that monster behind IV? They show Number 9 without it being shaded out behind V, so it's possible that the silhouette figure is Destiny Leo, but it does look a lot like Giant Killer b/c of the shape, posture, and if you look closely you can see a cannon like Giant Killer's, but it's sitting in a chair that looks like it has arm rests, b/c you can clearly see where the legs are, there are no strings coming out of its arms, plus it has a sword in its left hand similar to Heaven's Strings. Also i read the summary for the episode that'll show Destiny Leo, and it seems like it's gonna have a huge drawback effect when its Overlay units are at 0.--empath13 (talkcontribs) 23:46, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

Just because that card in the hand is number 15, it doesn't mean that the monster behind him isn't a new gimmick puppet! (Meklordsa5m (talkcontribs) 15:44, April 24, 2012 (UTC))

I'm not sure about this card being the number behind IV in Soul Drive. I mean, Destiny Leo suggests a Beast, but the number behind IV looks like another Gimmick Puppet. I thought that card's name would something like Marionette Lord or King.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 16:50, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

is there proof about this destiny leo card...... it could turn out to be a fake cause they always change the episodes and info on there to something else. like that chaos number version of no.17 revise dragon........ it could be that one Gimmick puppet - hell's strings i been hearing around that goimg to be IV's next new numbers. --108.225.20.64 (talk) 22:40, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yes, this one is confirmed as there is proof on NAS' website. NAS is the company that produce the 5Ds and ZEXAL anime, and their website has episode summary for upcoming episodes.

http://www.nasinc.co.jp/jp/index.php?action=USER.WORKS.TIME.DETAIL&master_id=112&number=58

  • Also, the one about CNo. 17 is not on NAS' website, therefore it was never confirmed, unlike Destiny Leo.

I suggest this monster's number should be 58, since it will appear in the 58th episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. --70.188.151.10 (talk) 23:23, April 25, 2012 (UTC) 70.188.151.10

I think it'll be No. 44: 1) because lion in Japanese is "shishi", with "shi" also used for 4. 2) because of its obvious reference to its owner.--PoirotH (talkcontribs) 06:53, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

You're forgetting that is card is not Lion but Leo, and Leo usually stays Leo. Also, I think this could be either number 43, 47 or 8.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 13:46, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

This card could be loads of numbers. I think that it might be number 4 because of IV's name which means 4. i guess we'll just have to wait until episode 58. (Meklordsa5m (talkcontribs) 12:00, May 6, 2012 (UTC))

i have a feeling that it is number 8 — This unsigned comment was made by George0x (talkcontribs) 13:51, May 6, 2012

No. Turns out Number 8 is Tron's. So, maybe number 48 or 43 would be possible.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 11:43, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

Well, this new NUmber 8 is the proof that not all single-digit numbers have matching Ranks. So, maybe this card can be Number to make it even .Since number 8 is rank 4, this card could be a rank 8 Number 4.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 19:38, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

It is possible that it would be either No. 4, reflecting IV's reckless, independent behavior, or No. 64, with it being the third Number IV used and 64 is <math>4x4x4</math>.--Jet-Black Nova (talkcontribs) 21:15, May 7, 2012 (UTC) Jet-Black Nova

Yes, 64 is also a possible number. I said 43 because of it being IV's third number and 48 because it would be the eighth number played by a member of the Tron family.--Xicokiko (talkcontribs) 18:40, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

Im pretty sure the picture above is number 15, giant killer and not "Destiny Leo" — This unsigned comment was made by 24.146.198.61 (talkcontribs) 01:36, May 22, 2012

well actually i we see the preview of episode 57 we can see that in the end there is a dark monster in form of a lion so i think that monster is "Dstiny Leo"--Yugx5dszexal (talkcontribs) 22:33, May 22, 2012 (UTC

Preview shows Giant Killer although card image is blurry, its Number can be seen. Furthermore the looks of the card itself on the trailer represent a good chance that´s the card on the above image everyone has been discussing about. See here [1]. DracoX (talkcontribs) 20:37, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

reading the things that are up for episode 58 i am kinda confused. the way i see it when destiny leo has 0 xyz materials he gains some kind of overwhelming advantage.--George0x (talkcontribs) 16:28, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

When he has 0 Xyz Materials, the owner of the card wins the Duel. --Stardustdrago (talkcontribs) 05:50, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

I'm guessing that he might be number 4, number 48, or 88.

[email protected] (talkcontribs) 21:04, June 3, 2012 (UTC)

In my opinion it will be between 70-80.--Laggia Will Lag You(Talk) 21:06, June 3, 2012 (UTC)
  • In my opinion it will be either 13, 14, 18, 84, 4, 82 201.13.172.138 (talk) 01:05, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

has number 88 defintely been confirmed , it was just a guess i made?

[email protected] (talkcontribs) 12:06, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Your guess was correct it is on one of the shoulder plates.--George0x (talkcontribs) 12:10, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

The hyphen[edit]

From other Gimmick Puppet monsters, I don't think this hyphen is needed. Anyone agree? Energy X 18:48, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

I had a feeling that this card is more special than other Gimmick Puppet monsters... Unless Konami confirmed that - we have to stuck with the current name. --iFredCat 18:50, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
In end, its became "of", just like Ezio Auditore da Firenze... --iFredCat 20:33, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

Detach as Cost[edit]

Are you sure LastMinute? Because the Japanese lore looks like detaching is a cost to put a counter on it (to me). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:16, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

first japanese sentence usually state the condition and cost. 1ターンに1度、自分の魔法&罠カードゾーンにカードが存在しない場合に発動できる。 発動 = activate. it doesn't state detaching xyz materials here. since it's not stated here, then it's not part of condition nor part of the cost. I'm not trying to act as if i'm always correct. it's just stated here. why do you think TCG used to say "you can activate by...." in the past. LastMinute (talkcontribs) 03:29, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

This card's anime alt win effect[edit]

To avoid edit warring, I'm moving my argument here:
I admit I messed up earlier when I tried to claim Nasch was stating a specific instance; I rewatched both episodes 58 and 126 and all characters do only say that No.88 can win by "using all of its Overlay Units", not just by having no Overlay Units.
But why state it in the roundabout fashion "If this card has no Xyz Materials since all of them were detached by its effect since it was Summoned"? I changed it to "If this card detaches all of its Xyz Materials", but you said that that complicated it a lot more. How so?
Anime lores very frequently use shorthand notation that may be open to interpretation. The lore I'm advocating for is more fitting to the style of previously seen anime lores, and is more likely to be seen should No.88's anime lore ever end up revealed. It is extremely rare for an anime lore to try to patch up loopholes or use very specific wording, like the roundabout fashion you seem to be thinking of. Anime lores are often just word-for-word what the character says.
If there's no counter-argument posted, I'll revert it back to the shorthand lore. Blueapple128 (talkcontribs) 19:00, December 18, 2013 (UTC)

It would mean that it could detach all monsters in one turn, which is not true, as it needs several turns to detach all monsters. Energy X 19:02, December 18, 2013 (UTC)
It doesn't mean that. It means that you would have to detach all of the Materials it had since it was Summoned. For example, the first time it was Summoned, it had 2, while originally, it is supposed to have 3. Your lore means that it would have to detach them all at the same time, since it is worded like Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry. Carboxylase (talkcontribs) 19:10, December 18, 2013 (UTC)
