Transamu is a series of LIGHT Galaxy monsters and support used by Yudias Velgear (and his manga counterpart) in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime and manga, and Taiyo Asobe in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel LP manga.
Design
Members of the theme appear as ethereal humanoids with varying skin colors whose appearances are loosely based on marine soft invertebrates and clad in highly-stylized chanbara-inspired fashion.
Etymology
While "Transamu" contains "samu", each member of this series contains the katakana "rai" in the second part of its name, making each member a slight pun on "samurai". While the monsters of the series each have a name based on a marine soft invertebrate, the Trap Cards simply have "rai" as part of the kana in their names.
Monster | Name origin |
---|---|
Craione | Clione |
Ephyrai | Ephyra |
Jerai | Jellyfish |
Raiker | Squid |

Trap | Kana | Romaji |

Arrive | アライブ | Araibu |
Lightning | ライトニング | Raitoningu |
Playing style
The series revolves around "Transamu Rainac" and cards that serve to support it, either directly or indirectly. While most of the theme's cards can be played as generic Galaxy Type support, they tend to work best in tandem with "Transamu Rainac".
