Design[edit]
Etymology[edit]
The name "Taiyo" is the Japanese word for the sun.
Much like previous protagonists across the series, primarily Jaden Yuki and Shoma Yusa, Taiyo's surname contains the kanji 「遊」 meaning game. Unlike other main characters however, it is not pronounced as "Yu".
