Welcome to my talk page! Here you can ask questions about my work or report any kind of grievance you feel you may have about it. Please try to be polite. Don't forget to sign your posts with four tildes. Thank you. --Monte (talkcontribs) 14:11, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Hello

Hello ATEMVEGETA, I am user Montechristo95. I was searching through some pages when I bumped into your name. I visited your talk page and I saw that you had a conversation with Darth Covah about 6 months ago. I am glad I found another Greek user even by accident. I see that the main thing you are doing here is adding card rullings but maybe you want to visit my user page. You see, I translate card names to greek and I would appreciate it if you could tell me your opinion about my work. Unfortunately, I can't do the same; I know nothing about the card rullings and I rarely play the game. --Monte (talkcontribs) 00:18, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

P.S. If you decide to leave a message at my Talk Page, then please prefer to write it in English so that the rest of the users can understand our conversation. Also try to avoid expressions in greeklish since those are the ones who confuse the other users the most. --Monte (talkcontribs) 00:18, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Montechristo95! It is great to know that more Greek people are visiting and editing Wikia. I find your work excellent! I wanted to add the Greek names to the cards too myself, but the work on the rulings and answering ruling questions never ends and it doesn't leave you enough free time to caught up with other stuff. Well, thanks for helping Wikia to become better and keep up that great job! :) ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 06:09, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
You can bet I will. Thanks btw, I am trying my best with the names and I am collaborating with other greek users as well (including Darth Covah). Good to know you approve my work so far. However, it's not even half done. Anyway, good luck with your Card Rulings project! --Monte (talkcontribs) 12:42, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome! :) ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 13:27, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hi hi hi!

Well, if it isn't Ianus-kun, the infrequent editor. Haven't heard from you for a while, hope everything is ok. Good thing you decided to edit your page btw, that red link was annoying. --Monte (talkcontribs) 00:36, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks very much Montechristo i'm just fine -at last i am free, finished my exams last week- so i logged in. Too bad all my friends are away for vacation, can't play cardgames :( What about yoy, will you be contributing all summer? --Ianus-kun (talkcontribs) 15:44, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
I finished my damn exams last month. I devoted the last 4 weeks to the wiki; I made over 3.000 edits in no time at all, I'm totally burned out. I can feel you; all my friends are away on vacation as well and I am forced to stay in Patra struggling against the heat like a fool. But things shall definitely improve; I'm going to Crete next week with my family and I'll stay there for 4-5 days. And I'm seriously considering not taking my PC with me. So to answer your question, no, I won't edit the wiki all summer, just a few more days and then pause for some time. Glad to hear from you again, it's been long since last time. I believe my translation project is going well but still I can use all the help I can get.
And now to inform you about some things that changed while you were away. I see you are already aware of the Unofficial Name Template. Good. So from now on, whenever you add a translation that hasn't been mentioned in the greek version of the anime, you tag it as unofficial. I noticed some of your last edits where you add the template to greek names which has already been added. Those names don't have the template because I translated them before the installation of the new rule; however, you don't have to go back and add it. The user Dinoguy1000 (the one with the message above) occupies a robot (Dinobot) that can add the template itself. That was because adding it is very tiring and tedious. So, all you have to do is add the template whenever you make a new translation or replace the approximate name template whenever you bump into it. This is all explained in the forum [[1]].
Secondly, there is a new translator in the house who joined the wiki quite recently. He is User:RabbitUp. He scans the translations I give for possible errors and he is responsible for adding the official greek name that derive from the greek GX dub. At this point Ianus-kun I would like to know your opinion of the greek dub of the anime; is it generally positive or negative? Do you believe the translators did a good work? My opinion is the worst possible and you can read it in the forum if you wish (i'm not posting it here coz it's quite big). Some of the official greek name RabbitUp adds might seem wrong to you; in fact they are wrong but we have to add them. I'm telling you this to you just to be on the safe side; I trust you will be careful when you see a "wrong" greek translation of a Gx card. If RabbitUp is the one who added it then It's better if you leave it alone.
Feel free to ask me whatever you wish to know. Plus if you want I can introduce to other greek users and translators here who can help you too if you want while I'm away. --Monte (talkcontribs) 18:31, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
I'm glad there is a bot for that job, thanks for the information. Yes my opinion of the dub is the same as yours, unfortunately it's the closest thing to be called "official" so i'll be carefull with the cards that appeared in the series. Lastly, I admire your courage to live without a pc -kidding-, have fun in Crete man! -i live in thessaloniki but pretty often i go to halkidiki for vacation- --Ianus-kun (talkcontribs) 18:59, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
Thessaloniki uh? Awesome place to live. Have been there twice, simply loved it although didn't get the chance to explore the city as much I'd wish to. Yeah the godamn dub is totally lame but we have to suck it up and continue. --Monte (talkcontribs) 19:30, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hello, too

Hey Tersos, I'm Montechristo95. Cool to see another user is translating card names here. You add German lores and card names right? I'm adding the Greek ones. I left you this message because I thought that since both of us are doing the same thing it'd be cool if we were in touch and exchange opinions about the translation policy in the wiki. What do you think? --Monte (talkcontribs) 18:03, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your message.^^ Nice to see such a friendly and enthusiastic user. I already noticed you working on the greek translations and, yeah I'm adding german names and lores from time to time, but mostly only the ones of cards I own myself. Personally I'm not having such strong needs of discussing about translation policy, but if you like to, feel free to write on my discussion page and it will be my pleasure giving you my view or what ever you asked for.
Best regards, Tersos (talkcontribs) 18:40, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Well, thank you for your friendly reply. If you have nothing to discuss then yeah it's ok. Besides, the main reason I contacted you was so that we could get to know each other. I believe card names translators should be in touch with each other regardless of the language in which they are translating. Again, it was really nice to know you!
Btw, do you know any other card names translators who are relatively active? I already contacted all I know. --Monte (talkcontribs) 18:49, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Hello²

Hello Modo Assalto, i'm user Montechristo95. I left you this message because I noticed that one of the things you are doing here is translating card names in Portuguese. Well, first of all, I want you to know that I admire your work so far, not only for your translations but your contribs in general. You have only been here for a year and still you are a very active user. Bravo!

Now regarding the other thing. I know neither of us can make a comment on each other's translation project but still I think it would be cool if we got to know each other. I have contacted several other translators here at the wiki and I suppose we could discuss things like the translation policy followed by the wiki. What do you think? --Monte (talkcontribs) 18:18, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Montechristo95!
have you ever tried to talk to any administrator here in wikia about it?--Modo assalto (talkcontribs) 19:13, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
You mean the translation policy? Yeah, I have discussed the issue several times not only with other translators but also with Dinoguy1000. I just wanted to know your opinion about it. --Monte (talkcontribs) 19:19, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
with these people? and they send here and approvest ideas!--Modo assalto (talkcontribs) 19:32, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah with one of those "people". I'm working on an idea but still it's not ready for a complete suggestion. --Monte (talkcontribs) 19:48, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Hello

Hello Hydronic, I'm Montechristo95. I left you this message because I saw that what you are doing here is translating card names in Arabic. That's cool. I am also a card names translator. I translate card names in Greek. I know neither of us can make a comment on each other's work but still, since we are both doing the same "job" in the Wiki, it would be good if we got to know each other and be in touch for updates in the way we translate card names. What do you think? --Monte (talkcontribs) 17:40, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

I see you left a message on my Talk Page :D. I also see that you have been leaving messages on other translators' Talk Pages too xD. Are you trying to make a Translation Community?, cause I think that's a great idea! :D. --Hydronic (talkcontribs) 19:18, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Well to tell the truth that wasn't my intention exactly. I just wanted to meet all the translators here. Do you know any? --Monte (talkcontribs) 19:21, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
I don't know any Translator that you didn't message :). And I didn't really understand your aim of getting to know Translators. Can you explain more clearly? ;)--Hydronic (talkcontribs) 19:26, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Oh you know. Since we are the same "type" of users we can discuss things that affect our work here. But still your idea about a community is not half bad. --Monte (talkcontribs) 19:50, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Well, yeah it's a good idea :).--Hydronic (talkcontribs) 20:37, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Indeed. It just so happens that I lack free time now but I'll see to it in the future. --Monte (talkcontribs) 20:47, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Hello (Melik el-Al'ab)

Hey Melik el-Al'ab. I'm Montechristo95. We had some sort of conversation in the forum regarding the dub of the anime in our respective countries, remember? We never got to properly meet each other so... I can see that you are a card names translator who takes his "job" here very seriously. I admire your devotion and determination and I commend you for your well-organised translation project. In case you still wonder who am I, I'm the greek card names translator. I wish to get to know all the translator here at the wiki. I already contacted the user Hydronic, who is, as I see a friend of yours. I know we can't help each other by making comments for our work so far but it'd be cool if we were in touch and able to discuss various matters like the translation policy of this wiki. What do you think? --Monte (talkcontribs) 17:49, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Hey there, Montechristo! Of course I remember you :) How's everything? I'm glad you want to stay in touch. Thank you for your encouraging words :D I wish you good luck with your project as well. Be seeing you! -- Melik el-Al'ab ملك الألعاب 07:15,

Thanks for your kind reply. Everything is fine. Yeah, I want to be in touch with all the translators I know here. Of course, I'll be seeing you again!--Monte (talkcontribs) 08:06, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
