Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[1] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - "Inspection's" effect can be activated multiple times during the same Standby Phase.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Spell Counter: When you use the effect of a Continuous Spell Card that is already face-up on the field, such as "Inspection"... you do not place a Spell Counter on this monster.
OCG Rulings
- The effect "During your opponent's Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to randomly select 1 card in your opponent's hand and look at it." starts a Chain Link. (It is an optional effect that can be activated during your opponent's Standby Phase.)[11]
- The effect "randomly select 1 card in your opponent's hand and look at it." can be activated once during each of your opponent's Standby Phases.[11]
- Paying 500 Life Points is a cost to activate the effect "randomly select 1 card in your opponent's hand and look at it.".[11]
- The effect "randomly select 1 card in your opponent's hand and look at it." cannot be activated if your opponent has no cards in their hand.[11]
