Card Rulings:Mass Hypnosis
OCG Rulings
- The effect targets 1-3 of your opponent's face-up monsters with A-Counters.[1]
Mentions in Other Rulings
- "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" must be face-up on your field when the fifth "Forbidden One" card is sent to the Graveyard for you to win the Duel. If "Book of Moon" is chained to the effect of sending the card to the Graveyard, then you will not win the duel after you send the fifth "Forbidden One" card. If "Enemy Controller" is chained to the effect, neither player will win the duel.[2]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[3] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - You can only select as many monsters with A-Counters as you have empty Monster Card Zones.
- If a monster you control with the effect of "Mass Hypnosis" loses it’s [sic] A-Counter, then control is returned to the opponent.
- If a monster you control with the effect of "Mass Hypnosis" is flipped face-down, then you will keep continue to control it, even though it no longer has A-Counters and even if "Mass Hypnosis" is removed from the field.
