Q&A Rulings
- Q: When activating "Remote Rebirth", which player chooses the battle position of the Special Summoned monster?
- A: The player who activates "Remote Rebirth" chooses the battle position of the Special Summoned monster, and it will either be face-up Attack Position or face-up Defense Position. If the targeted monster is a Link Monster, it can only be Special Summoned in face-up Attack Position.[1]
- Q: "Topologic Bomber Dragon" is in my Extra Monster Zone. In this situation, I activate "Remote Rebirth" and target a "Capacitor Stalker" in my opponent's Graveyard. If my opponent chains "Compulsory Evacuation Device" and returns "Topologic Bomber Dragon" to the Extra Deck, how does "Remote Rebirth" resolve?
- A: In this scenario, if there are no Main Monster Zones on your opponent's field pointed to by a Link Monster on your field when "Remote Rebirth" resolves, the targeted monster is not Special Summoned.[2]
