Card Rulings:Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz
OCG Rulings
- The "You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Nekroz" or "Zefra" monsters. This effect cannot be negated." effect does not start a Chain Link.[1]
- While the Pendulum Effect of "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" is being applied, monsters other than "Nekroz" or "Zefra" monsters can still be Special Summoned if they are not Pendulum Summoned.[1]
- "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" is treated as a "Nekroz" and "Zefra" monster.[1]
- The "If a face-up "Nekroz" or "Zefra" card(s) in your Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect, except "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz", while this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card." effect is a Trigger Effect that is activated from the hand or Graveyard. (It does not target. It can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- If a "Nekroz" or "Zefra" monster is destroyed by battle, this effect can be activated at the end of the Damage Step.[1]
- If a "Nekroz" or "Zefra" monster in face-down Defense Position is destroyed by a card effect, this effect cannot be activated.[1][2]
- If a "Nekroz" or "Zefra" monster in the Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone and a "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" in the hand are destroyed at the same time, the effect of that "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" cannot be activated.[1]
- If the effect of "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" is activated from the hand and "Mind Crush" is activated in a chain declaring "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz", since "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" is no longer in the hand, it is not Special Summoned.[3]
- If a "Nekroz" or "Zefra" card is destroyed as Chain Link 2 or higher, this effect can be activated.[4]
- If "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" and "Zefrasaber, Swordmaster of the Nekroz" are destroyed by "Dark Hole" while you have a "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" in the Graveyard, the effect of that "Zefraxa, Flame Beast of the Nekroz" in the Graveyard can be activated.[5]
