Quick Question. . .

If you declare priority with Superancients Effect (the one that summons the rest of the fish) and your opponent flips it face down/removes it from the field, without negating the effect, does the effect still resolve or not?

If you called priority and your opp. activates a card that would remove him from the field or destroy him, your deep sea king effect would chain to the card your opp. activated. Meaning your deep sea kings effect would activate first, so you would be able to special summon the 4 fish monsters from your deck. But if the card your opp. activated targets and you wish to negate it with deep sea kings effect you will not be able to because when the card your opp. activated was activated you didnt have extra fishys to tribute for deep sea kings effect meaning it would not be part of the chain.(Nighthawk 707)

It's better to ask questions on the Forum, since more people visit there.
Anonymous, in your situation, the effect of "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" will resolve properly.
Nighthawk, if you call Priority, your opponent will have to chain his card to the effect of "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth", not the other way around.

hi just wondering if coelacanth pulls a Nimble Sunfish out and it gets destroyed by battle does the effect activate activate on the field or grave. --Daddygray44 10:50, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

  • Next time, ask questions on the Forum... you should have seen it in Deus Ex Machina's post...
Nimble Sunfish activates in the Graveyard, so it is not negated by Coelacanth. Falzar FZ 10:55, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
