Card Trivia:Gearfried the Swordmaster
- This is the cover card of Speed Duel: Scars of Battle, and is also one of the cover cards of Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World.
- This card's Japanese name literally translates into "Swordmaster - Naked Gearfried". This is to show that he removed his armor, as seen in "Release Restraint".
- During his Duel against Rex Raptor in Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 162: "On the Wrong Track - Part 3", Joey Wheeler tells the story of "Gearfried the Swordmaster". According to his story, "Gearfried" wielded a power so great, that merely holding a weapon resulted in the wide scale devastation of an entire battlefield, which is reflected in this card's destruction effect. Fearful of his own might, he sealed himself in a suit of iron armor to limit his power.
- This story contradicts Joey's original claim that "Gearfried" was an iron golem.
- This card features a misprint in its French release of Flaming Eternity, as the card is listed as a Dragon instead of a Warrior.
