• This is one of the Cover cards of Duelist Edition Volume 2.

• Like "Rainyan" whose design also features a lightning-bolt motif, this monster's Japanese name, "Raikō" may derive from the word 雷光 ("lightning"), or the thunder-and-lightning god 雷公 ("Leigong") whose name also inspires the Pokemon Raikou. 雷公 (literally "Thunder Lord") is quite likely, given that Rinyan's name could be translated as "Thunder Lady."

• This monster appears in the artworks of "Charge of the Light Brigade", "Dark Smog", "Gagagarush", "Mano a Mano", and "Dark World Brainwashing". In the latter, this monster is being brainwashed to become "Ryko, Twilightsworn Fighter".
  • Additionally, "Ryko, Twilightsworn Fighter" is a Dark counterpart to this monster.
